For those of you who don't know me, allow me to say a few words about myself. My name is Gina Abravanel. I am a mother of five who fifteen years ago was 30lbs. overweight and not feeling good about myself. So I tried some of the fad diets, which worked for a while but then boom, the weight came back. With the returning weight came a sense of failure and resignation.

That's when I made the decision to change my life... from the inside out. It started with what I put into my body, which meant I had to be mindful of what went into my mouth. That was hard because being a homemaker for a family of seven meant having to eat when and what I could. Finding the time or energy to exercise was also a big challenge. So at first, there were some bumps and setbacks but fifteen years later I can say that I've lost thirty pounds, ran marathons and triathlons, and am in the best shape of my life!


Does this fit in my life?

So many times we try new fads. As a trainer, I have fallen victim to the hype. There is so much information about what program is best but when we get down to it our goal is to move, gain muscle and stay fit.  Does it matter what's in? As long as we are enjoying it and improving ourselves in a safe manner, that is what matters. The same goes for food. There are so many things we "have to" eat because they are good for our hair, teeth, liver function, etc. Again, yes there are great foods out there that are so much better for us. Apple cider vinegar, chia seeds, mung beans, bone marrow, cacao nibs - all amazing products and great for you, but some of you may say, "I'm never gonna eat that!" so you walk away from that information feeling worried you're missing out on some health benefit everybody else out there is getting. We have to be realistic with ourselves. Dietician-guided kitchen-tested recipes -  I wanted to make sure these were all delicious as well as nutritious. I hope you will embrace this program and let the process unfold for you. We are in this together and I can't wait to hear about your results!
