Body sculpting (or core conditioning) is a non-aerobic, all muscle-toning class, focused on core strength. We perform traditional weight-training moves using exercise bands, or free weights, or a combination of these tools. Body sculpting gives you strength and muscle tone and lowers your risk of bone loss, but only if you lift heavy enough weights. This class is great for anyone who wants to firm up. Because strong, toned muscles increase your metabolism and burn calories far more than cardio-only workouts, participants see results much faster because weights are used to stress the muscles. Body sculpting and core strengthening are great if you want to learn the fundamentals before you venture into the gym on your own.

Equipment: Bands and Free Weights (5lb, 8lb, 10lb.) - depending on your level of strength.

Level: All levels and abilities.

Circuit Training

Mon/Weds/Fri at 5:30 am PST

Circuit-training

Circuit training is a workout that typically includes 8-10 different exercises, usually referred to as stations. You perform each station for a certain amount of time (or for a specific number of reps), before moving right on to the next one. We do a variety of cardio, strength, and HIIT (high-intensity interval training) all in one class. Circuit training workouts combine a mix of endurance- and strength-based exercises so that you’re building muscle while increasing your heart rate at the same time. And even if your stations are only strength training exercises, you still get a form of cardio exercise due to the limited rest periods in between movements. Win! Circuits may focus on different muscle groups, such as upper body, lower body, or core, or they may be a combination of them all for an entire body workout.

Equipment: Bands and Free Weights (5lb, 8lb, 10lb.) - depending on your level of strength.

Level: All levels and abilities.

Max Muscle

rack-of-weights

Heavyweights increase the power and strength of your muscles without significantly adding bulk or size, especially for women. This means that everyday physical tasks get easier, and consistent training will increase the amount of weight you can lift. You'll look stronger, too. We focus on certain muscle groups per workout.

Equipment: Bands and Free Weights (5lb, 8lb, 10lb.) - depending on your level of strength.

Level: All levels and abilities.
